Stricker Loses; Comeback Player of the Year Hopes Diminished

Daniel Chopra picked up his 2nd PGA Tour victory in a four hole playoff against Steve Stricker in the Mercedes-Benz Championship. Chopra, who qualified via his win at the Ginn sur Mer Classic last season, managed to squeak out a nice victory that could be a confidence boost to a guy who customarily finishes well - but not well enough - in many PGA Tour events.

Two-time defending Comeback Player of the Year (yes, I will use that ALL season) Steve Stricker fails in a bid to move even further up the Official World Golf Ranking. After all, in order to win the CPOTY award for the 3rd straight season, Stricker will have to either (a) lead the money list, (b) win the FedEx Cup, (c) win a major, or (d) end up #1 in the world rankings. D is statistically impossible.

C'mon Strick!

Here's the game story.
