Samsung World Championship Venue Change

We all knew Bighorn was done as the host of the Samsung World Championship - the 20 player field, $1,000,000 event that is owned by IMG. The LPGA has a press release:

Samsung World Championship tournament organizers and the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) today announced that the Samsung World Championship will move to the Ocean Course at Half Moon Bay Golf Links in Half Moon Bay, Calif.

An Arthur Hills design that opened in 1997, the Ocean Course at Half Moon Bay Golf Links is a links course set on the bluffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. There are ocean views on every hole, but the course's signature holes are the final three: a 384-yard (from the tips) par 4, a 184-yard par 3 and the finishing 533-yard par 5 18th. All three play along the ocean bluffs and all three combine stellar shot making demands with stunning views.
Half Moon Bay is the 15th course to host this event. That's a lot of courses! The event has been played on 5 continents in its 26 year history in varying forms.
