Tadd Misses Cut - Time for Concern?

Tadd Fujikawa has again missed a professional cut. He missed this week's cut at the Sony Open in Hawaii after finishing in a tie for 20th last year. That event spurred his move to turn professional at age 16. Now at 17, he has missed every cut in professional events he has played - tallied at 9.

He apparently does not regret his decision to turn pro...yet.

Questions are sure to follow whether Fujikawa, a 5-foot-1 junior in high school with a big heart and impeccable manners, made the right choice by turning pro so early.

"I think it was the right decision," he said. "I have no regrets as of right now, and hopefully throughout my golf career."

Tadd next plays at the Pebble Beach event. That will be the 2nd of his 7 exemptions allowed for players without status on Tour. As I have commented in print and on air, I thought was a very bad idea at the time and he only needed to look as far as fellow Hawaiian Michelle Wie for advice on not turning pro out of high school. Nine events into it now, is he headed down the same path as Wie?
