PGATour.com Redesign

PGATour.com had not been redone in a few years but apparently the Web staff took the 7 week break to design, test, and implement a new design on the website. Looks pretty good although there are some glitches in the site - if you have nerdy enough of an eye. Check it out!

I agree there are a lot of "glitches". layout problems with Safari (click 'SC' on the leaderboard or Feedback link). no header appearing on player scorecards, from player/scorecard I click "Media Guide" link in right-column and it goes to a blank page.

And from a design standpoint someone didn't do good inventory on the previous versions in that many things were changed/removed for no good reason. in the leaderboard weather module "Wind" was removed. birdies/bogies colors changed on leaderboard, navigation modules moved to the right column (see player cards), country flag from player cards, on tournament overview pages the automated leaderboard module moved below the fold and no links to view last year's full leaderboard, etc. etc. the list could go on.

And finally the removal of TOURCAST which IMO qualified as a "killer app". I got an email yesterday saying a new one is in development and it better be good b/c TourCast was awesome (when it worked). At least allow us to view the play-by-play TEXT for each player on every hole. They have the data and just don't display it. Why not just add it to the player scorecards?

With a family member on the tour (and playing this week in Hawaii) I spent at least 100 hours on TOURCAST and NEED to know his hole-by-hole play. For the first time since he earned his card I haven't been able to see how his round went.
