GNN to Produce Video Content, Nightly Recap Show
Baltimore, MARYLAND -- Golf News Net (GNN) annouces today that it is expanding its multimedia content to include video production in 2008. The new video content will be in addition to the existing audio content already produced by GNN, including The 19th Hole Golf Show and LPGA on GNN, the only golf talk show devoted to the LPGA Tour.
"Video opens up many more possibilities to bring golf news to the game's fans," says Ryan Ballengee, operator of GNN. "We can now bring the same honest, conversational style of our audio and written content to the video format to tell more compelling stories."
Video content will vary between regularly scheduled programming and features reporting. Similar to GNN audio content, the regularly scheduled video programming will be available via iTunes and other podcasting services. Among the regularly scheduled programming will be Golf Tonight - a fast paced, 10 minute recap of the day in golf. "Unlike our audio programming, video content will be more objective in nature. Objectivity can still be compelling to our audience that seeks the honest, unique GNN approach," explains Ballengee.
Features reporting will bring unique stories alive and give viewers access to parts of the golf industry and game that are usually hidden. Expected focus of features reporting includes tournament set up, golf business reporting, technology development, and course design and restoration - issues often passed over by major golf media outlets.
Ballengee emphasizes that "GNN seeks to bring the golf insider's perspective directly to the golf fan how they want it - in depth and on demand."
