Just the Beginning

This has to have been one of the most difficult first days for scoring in the history of the Masters - and certainly in recent memory. Windy conditions and a dry golf, in addition to the usual Augusta National difficulty, make this first round especially difficult for scoring. The 10 shot rule would have players currently at +7 making the cut. If these conditions continue, then Billy Payne's stated goals of trying to keep scoring down will definitely come true. But will that come at the expense of the famous Sunday roars at Augusta?
