Too Much Hype?!

Came across this AP story courtesy of the Dallas Morning News which is a conversation held with Vijay Singh after round 2 in Kapalua. Of the FedEx Cup, he says: "There's so much going on about FedEx Cup, I'm tired of listening to it," Singh said. "Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. It's going to be a good year. There's still tournaments out there that we have to focus on, and not focus on the FedEx Cup itself."

Vij is right. You cannot go 20 seconds on TGC's coverage of the event without hearing something about the "new era in golf" and a video montage about how special this year will be. Here's a tip to Ponte Vedra: before we anoint the FedEx Cup as golf's savior, let's get through one tournament.

In the meantime, that AimPoint feature they used last night on the broadcast was really tricked out, right?!
